Plume Network Unveils Fund to Boost Real-World Asset Tokenization

2 Mins read

Plume Network launches a $25 million fund to support RWAfi projects, driving real-world asset tokenization in DeFi ecosystems.

Plume Network, a pioneering full-stack modular Layer-1 blockchain platform focusing on Real World Asset Finance (RWAfi), has announced a $25 million RWAfi Ecosystem Fund. This is a new initiative, the RWAfi Ecosystem Fund. It also enables the tokenization of real-world assets and supports early stage RWAfi projects.

According to the press release, the fund aims to address the rising need for decentralized finance (DeFi) solutions. Some of these solutions are treasuries, GPUs, luxury goods, and private credit. The aim is to bring real-world money into DeFi.

Major investors have strong backing for the fund. Galaxy Digital, Superscrypt, Reciprocal Ventures, Mechanism Capital, Hashkey, and Manifold are among those that have made separate investments. They will receive both financial support and strategic guidance from these partners.

Plume Fund to Drive Innovation in DeFi with Real-World Asset Tokenization

Chris Yin, Plume CEO, commented on the initiative. The RWAfi Ecosystem Fund, he said, is big progress for both Plume and DeFi. By bringing real-world assets into blockchain networks, great value is created, Yin said. It presents new possibilities in a variety of industries and markets. This work should be driven by the teams and the backing from these investors will help to do so.

The fund will provide capital investment, market support, and expert guidance. It will allow project developers access and scale via the Plume infrastructure and network. The fund will fund products like yield-bearing stable assets. These will be combined with DeFi applications built on top of these real-world assets. The fund will also back projects that link up assets, apps, and users in Plume’s ecosystem.

It strives to increase global accessibility. Instead, it will be centered on products that work in both the developed and emerging markets. Key goals include institutional adoption as well. The fund will invest in projects looking to partner with neobanks and other fintech companies. It will also support projects that focus on cross chain interoperability. These projects will help distribute and scale real world assets across blockchain networks.

Right now, the fund is reviewing pre-seed to seed-stage founder applications. Tokenization, infrastructure, and compliance solutions should be the focus of these projects. Ultimately, this will help them to shape the future of RWAfi and to grow the presence of RWAfi in the DeFi space.
