The Slovenian Tourist Board (STB) announced its collaboration with the Julian Alps and introduced its first collection of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) called “The Ultimate Julian Alps Sensory Adventure,” which will also be powered by Vandri, a global platform for tourism and immersive experiences through NFT technology.
The Slovenian Tourist Board (STB) announced its collaboration with the Julian Alps to present the first unique event promoted with the innovative technology provided by non-fungible tokens.
This NFT collection was named “The Ultimate Julian Alps Sensory Adventure” and will be powered by blockchain technology to further activate tourism promotion. It was confirmed that the NFTs were issued as a limited edition of unique digital mementos for interested and selected individuals.
The STB received support and promotion from Vandri, a global company specializing in tourism and immersive experiences through non-fungible tokens. Among the benefits obtained by NFT owners, a unique and private event in the Julian Alps between May 29th and 30th, 2023, was highlighted.
Slovenia has been working for several years to become one of Europe’s smartest, most innovative, and sustainable destinations. They are currently revolutionizing different industries with a clear focus on the future and new technologies such as blockchain and non-fungible tokens.
The Ultimate Julian Alps Sensory Adventure was a one-of-a-kind event where a total of 15 NFTs were released, serving as exclusive digital mementos and also as tickets to the aforementioned event.
As mentioned before, this gathering took place between May 29th and 31st, and NFT holders had the opportunity to firsthand experience the value of owning these non-fungible tokens, as they served as entry to the private and unique event that combined digital memorabilia and real-life experiences in Slovenia.
It was also revealed that the holders of these digital collectibles included journalists from international media outlets in the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, as well as Slovenia, who shared great days alongside a representative of the Web3 community from that country.
Aljoša Ota, Director of the Slovenian Tourist Board, expressed his thoughts on this new innovative and groundbreaking experience, stating that by combining a digital memento in the form of non-fungible tokens with real-life experiences, the aim is to continue promoting Slovenia as a creative and innovative country.
Ota also mentioned that the project was made possible through collaboration with Julian Alps, as they helped prioritize sustainability in all their activities.
Furthermore, individuals who acquired the NFTs had the opportunity to attend the International Wild Flower Festival, where they could learn about different stories that highlight the importance of preserving the balance of nature, biodiversity, the fragility of ecosystems, and the significance of finding sustainable solutions and responsible tourism.
The event concluded with a special dinner prepared by renowned chef Uroš Štefelin, who has won several awards, including the Michelin star, showcasing his culinary expertise.
