Hamster Kombat NFT Game Faces Massive Community Backlash Over Unfair Token Distribution

Hamster Kombat, one of the most popular play-to-earn non-fungible token-based games, has updated its token distribution portal ahead of its much-awaited $HMSTR airdrop on September 26, 2024. The renowned NFT game has received massive community backlash on social media platforms, with many crypto users complaining and lamenting over an extremely unfair crypto token distribution.

Hamster Kombat Sets To Launch Token Airdrop Next Week

Hamster Kombat is the latest sensation in Telegram-based gaming, recapturing the excitement of the popular Notcoin clicker game, which attracted more than 300 million players in less than five months since its launch in March 2024. This viral Telegram-based crypto and non-fungible token–based game allows gamers to mine Hamster coins “$HMSTR” by managing a virtual crypto exchange.

In Hamster Kombat, gamers play the hamster’s chief executive officer role, aiming to boost the startup’s well-being and push it to the top of the industry. They invest in marketing, licenses, talent, new products, and more to achieve their objective. The game offers a unique mix of fun and strategy. Crypto gamers can also earn $HMSTR coins by participating in battles.

Each hamster token in the game is a non-fungible token that can be traded and sold on the marketplace. Hamster Kombat allows players to earn up to five million in-game NFT coins by investing in specific daily upgrades. The team recently promised a token launch and airdrop on The Open Network (TON), adding an extra layer of excitement and potential rewards for players.

On August 28, 2024, the Hamster Kombat team confirmed the new token generation event (TGE) date and an airdrop as September 26, 2024. At the time, the team confirmed they had allocated 60% of the token’s total supply through airdrops to the game’s players. Hamster Kombat spokesman said the upcoming HMSTR airdrop is set to be the largest in crypto history.

Hamster Kombat Faces Massive Criticism

Hamster Kombat has received massive criticism from its crypto community, with the majority of crypto gamers on X complaining of unfair token distribution. Unfortunately, many gamers are set to receive 100 $HMSTR, 300 $HMSTR and 5000 $HMSTR. Moreover, 12% of the tokens are locked, something the Hamster Kombat team failed to mention or disclose earlier.

In addition, 63% of total users are ‘INELIGIBLE’ and are put under ‘CHEATING’ even though most were genuine users. 2. Hamster Kombat users on X have blamed the team for banning some real users and allocating huge airdrops to influencers. If the tabled allegations are true, the Hamster Kombat is likely to feel the wrath of the crypto community in its season 2.
