Netflix Goes Starry Again – Builds ‘Gray Man’ Metaverse in Decentraland

Netflix has yet shown a tremendous marketing move to connect to their fan base across the Metaverse market. Netflix’s Latin American division has shook hands with the Electric Factory backed by the Decentraland Foundation. The business developer team at The Electric Factory stated that it is an exploratory process.

Netflix Going Superspeed

The video streaming behemoth Netflix has finally stepped into the Metaverse market to connect with the fans in a close counter. Netflix is stepping into Decentraland’s metaverse targeting two motifs: first, to promote ‘The Gray Man’ – new action movie starring Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans and second is to connect with their fans virtually in the best way possible.

Netflix’s 45- pack Decentraland activation can properly be considered as a ‘metaverse mission’. The Decentraland recreated a scenery from a movie scene. The scene revolves around a maze testing the users knowledge about the movie wherein the users must navigate along the way.

Blockwork’s team offered a demo from the Netflix Metaverse alongside Martin Shibuya, Director at the Decentraland Foundation, and Diego Alvarez, senior business developer at the Electric Factory and the man behind the game development.

Netflix and Decentraland Turns Gray

There can be multiple ways to access the metaverse, however the best way is duplicating the original scenes from the film. This is a perfect move to lure people who have seen the movie and even those users who are interacting in the maze in Decentraland.

Netflix and Decentraland have created a space for some major brands to enter the metaverse, but now they don’t have to buy a virtual land, rather they can rent it.According to the sources, Decentaland claims that 2000+ users have passed the maze in the first week at an early stage. Once the users complete the maze they can unlock various in-game features. This includes free wearables, instantly adding up to the user wallet, including three choices Sierra Six jacket, Lloyd’s mustache, and polo shirt and more.
