Mark Cuban and Book.io introduce NFT format books, merging literature with blockchain technology. Discover how to win in the business sport with this innovation.

Mark Cuban, an American entrepreneur and owner of the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks, has announced the launch of his e-books in the form of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) in partnership with Book.io, a Web3 marketplace for buying, reading, and selling decentralized e-books and audiobooks.
The renowned investor, born in Pennsylvania, aims to incorporate the technology offered by NFTs into his interests and bridge the gap between the digital world and literature. With the release of his book “How to Win at the Sport of Business: If I Can Do It, You Can Do It,” he makes it clear that he intends to create decentralized services.
As mentioned before, the project is powered by Book.io, which hosts reading material on multiple blockchains and enables the decentralized trade of books and audiobooks. Mark Cuban’s material will have a total of 10,000 copies of his book, and the collection will feature 385 unique book cover designs and 157 exclusive 1:1 cover designs in the form of non-fungible tokens.
The owner of the film and entertainment company 2929 Entertainment has compiled and updated his business-related writings with the best material from his popular Blog Maverick, aiming to provide an insider’s catalog of knowledge on what it takes to become a successful entrepreneur.
In other words, the book chronicles the billionaire’s journey from humble beginnings to financial success, recounting his own story of going from selling powdered milk and sleeping on friends’ couches to owning his own company and becoming a billionaire.
It’s worth noting that his ideas are unconventional, but they were enough for him to build a successful business and spread his knowledge worldwide with this new release in NFT format.
The public sale of the non-fungible book started on June 6 on the Polygon network, with each digital asset priced at 5 MATIC (a little over $3 USD). At the time of writing, 39% of the NFTs have been minted, amounting to 6,141 out of the total 10,000.
Furthermore, it’s not the first time Mark Cuban has entered the NFT industry. In 2021, the 64-year-old entrepreneur got involved with NBA Top Shot, an NFT marketplace developed by Dapper Labs, which allows trading unique basketball moments as digital collectibles.
He has also been vocal in support of the crypto market, as he recently tweeted to the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) expressing his hope that they won’t repeat past mistakes regarding cryptocurrencies.
However, Mark Cuban is not the only visionary trying to harness the potential of NFTs. Renowned artist Michael Winkelmann, popularly known as Beeple, also released his book as an NFT earlier this year. It was titled “Beeple: Everydays, The First 5,000 Days,” highlighting the interest in integrating blockchain technology across various industries.
Cuban understands that the world of NFTs is highly innovative and revolutionary, but he also recognizes the power and possibilities within this ecosystem. By turning his book into a non-fungible token, he embraces the digital era and invites thousands of people to experience his story in a completely new and immersive format.
