What is OliveX’s native DOSE token?

Everything you need to know about the move-to-earn ecosystem and DOSE

OliveX has created one of the richest move-to-earn ecosystems of dapps to date, and DOSE plays an integral role in this. The token serves as both a utility and rewards token, allowing OliveX users to earn and spend with ease.

Are you looking for more information on move-to-earn? Check out this detailed guide.

Before we dive deeper into DOSE itself, let’s shed some light on what OliveX has created and why it sets the bar for move-to-earn platforms across the globe. OliveX has a wide range of activity-centric platforms, which aim to reward users for physical exercise. From running and walking to fitness exercises, the ultimate goal is to stay active and earn rewards in return.

Importantly, OliveX has launched a variety of games and applications tailored specifically to the exercise patterns of different individuals. Here are two of the most popular choices, each rewarding players with DOSE for their activity:

  • Dustland Runner – a health and fitness blockchain game that encourages and motivates players to gain rewards while running. Real-world jogs, sprints, and dashes move players forward in the game’s narrative.
  • Dustland Rider – a platform that offers cycling fitness gameplay and combines SOL Cycling and DOSE to provide an entirely new experience of Spin To Win, Cycle for Reward. SOL Cycling gives users a new cycling experience on Mars. Ride or run at your own pace with the NASA Rover, or sweat your way through the SOL story!

Both of these games are part of The Dustland, OliveX’s move-to-earn flagship experience. What’s more, The Dustland relies on the DOSE token to reward users for staying active. So what is DOSE?

Everything you need to know about DOSE

DOSE is an ERC-20 Fungible Token (FT) used for purchases, utility, and action. It is the heart of the OliveX gamified fitness ecosystem. Players receive DOSE tokens for completing workout-based gameplay in Dustland Runner, Dustland Rider, 22 Pushups, and other move-to-earn experiences.

DOSE token holders can unlock items, purchase to NFTs and participate in special events and game modes across the different OliveX platforms. The total supply of DOSE is 5,000,000,000 tokens. Each day, every game in the OliveX fitness metaverse receives a pool of tokens. These can be distributed in-game and split across all actions that reward players. Additional pools of DOSE tokens serve as the reward pools for specific game modes (virtual races, PvP, etc.). Entry fees that players pay in DOSE to participate in performance-based events fill up the pools.

A curious detail about DOSE is that the token ticker actually stands for Dopamine, Oxytocin, Serotonin and Endorphin, the hormones and neurotransmitters associated with exercise.

DappRadar will continue monitoring the move-to-earn trend as it takes over the web3 space.
